If you’re anything like most couples I work with, the idea of “posing” for photos probably doesn’t sound all that appealing.
And honestly… I get it.
That’s exactly why I’m always encouraging my couples to choose a location that actually feels like them, something that turns your session into an experience.
And this session at Up-Down Arcade Bar in Milwaukee was exactly that.
Not Your Typical Couples Session (and That’s the Point)
Instead of walking around a park or trying to figure out what to do with your hands, we leaned all the way into the vibe of the space.

And it worked so well.
They weren’t worried about how they looked or what pose came next — they were just playing, laughing, competing a little… and being fully in the moment together.
Which, if I’m being honest, is where the best photos always come from.

You’re just… on a date.
And I’m there documenting it as it unfolds.

I left thinking, okay wait… I need to come back here with my husband.
Because that’s what it felt like….not a photoshoot, but a night out.
